Having trained and qualified in a Big 4 audit practice, Andrew has gone on to work for – and with – a variety of businesses from start-ups through to large multi-nationals. His audit background has provided him detailed technical knowledge of accounting standards and his finance roles have allowed him to build strong skills in broader business areas from management accounting through to development of systems and controls.

Outside of work Andrew likes to build things in sheds, play tennis and cook Tennessee style BBQ.

Catherine is a qualified tax professional and advises businesses from sole traders right through to large corporate companies on how to maximise tax efficiency, at the same time as remaining compliant.

Having qualified and spent 12 years’ in a Big 4 firm, she initially worked in expatriate taxation, before diversifying. She has a wealth of experience in some of the more complex areas of personal and employment tax, including share plans and dealing with HMRC investigations. She has dealt with a range of clients from individuals and start-ups, through to multi-million pound international businesses.

When not in the world of tax and accounting, she can usually be found on the dance floor where she competes internationally in Ballroom and Latin dancing and has four world amateur titles!

Lucy is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor, with a legal background. She trained and subsequently worked in Big 4 firms for 12 years and has experience dealing with many aspects of tax, including employee share plans, accounting for share plans, employee reward, HMRC investigations and disclosures.

Lucy has supported and advised a variety of clients, including UK plcs, foreign inbounds private companies, owner managed businesses and individuals.

Outside of the office Lucy is a mum to two energetic boys and is kept busy attempting to renovate her retro 1960s house!

Carolyn is a qualified accountancy professional providing a variety of accounting and business advisory services to clients ranging from start-ups to large groups of companies.

Having qualified in practice she spent 10 years working in a global technology company gaining experience is all aspects of financial reporting and management accounts. She now provides clients with a wide range of services including financial reporting advice, support with monthly management accounts and annual audit guidance.

Outside of the office she spends her time crafting and baking with her two children.

Ellie is an ACA qualified accountant and works with clients of all sizes providing support and advice throughout audits and transactions, as well as preparing statutory accounts.

Having initially trained at Deloitte, she worked in audit specialising in infrastructure and real estate clients within regulated markets. She has a wealth of experience working with private and FTSE listed companies, on some of the more complex accounting areas, including IFRS transition and application of new standards.  

Outside of work she enjoys going out for meals with family and friends and then paying the price for the overindulgence in the gym.

Caroline is an experienced marketeer having learned her craft working both in large and medium sized FMCG companies such as McVities, RHM and The Cott Corporation and, more recently, in running her own very successful online retail business.

When not working she might be found with her nose in a Lonely Planet book, glass of Rioja in hand, or punishing herself doing an unnecessarily hard physical challenge (usually for charity!) which it’s about time she recognised she is getting too old for!

Kate is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisor. She trained and worked in Big 4 firms for 21 years specialising in employment taxes, the PAYE/NIC implications of unapproved share schemes and HMRC investigations into employee expenses and benefits.  For the last 4 years Kate has worked for a local accountancy firm as a Tax and Payroll Manager overseeing the payroll services offered to a variety of clients.

Outside work Kate is kept busy by her family but finds time for sewing, theatre, socialising with friends and reading. For exercise she attends a weekly ballet class. Kate is also involved in her sons’ school’s PTA where she raises funds by managing the sale of pre loved uniform.

She has great organisational skills, is a good communicator, loves people and enjoys building relationships, listening and understanding the needs of the prospects and clients to deliver and maintain fantastic service alongside the team.

Outside of work Jennie is a real thrill seeker who is always planning the next big adventure. She also volunteers at her local hospice in the fundraising department.

Barney is a recently retired international rower, having represented Great Britain at Under 23 level and has won the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta twice. He has a master’s degree in Chemistry and has now decided to pursue a new career in accountancy, which will combine the great attention for detail, strong work ethic and professionalism acquired from his unique background.

Outside of work he is an overly keen golfer and will occasionally return to the gym to stop the waistline expanding too much!

Outside of work he is a football fan. Failure to find him playing on the pitch then he will be found watching his beloved Chelsea FC!

ZAYYAN SHABIR

After having recently graduated with a first class honours in finance and accounting, Zayyan joined the Blue Peak team in September 2020 as a trainee accountant. As time progresses he is looking to become fully qualified, and more experienced with all aspects of the business.

Outside of work, Zayyan can often be found spending time with friends and family. Like Will, Zayyan is also a football fan and also happens to support Chelsea.

Janet has had a varied career in the area of Project Management and has been actively involved in the delivery of projects ranging from bespoke IT solutions for several leading charitable organisations to working for the UN World Food Programme on their food distribution network in sub-Saharan Africa.

Outside of work she will be found either rowing on the Thames, sailing somewhere warm or on the golf course in an attempt to unravel the mysteries of a consistent golf swing.
